Have Your Mentee Teach You Something You Don't Know

One of the best ways to learn something is to teach it to someone else. Motivate your mentee to dive into a subject by asking him to become your tutor. Choose something that your mentee is learning that you’d like to know more about. Maybe you want to learn how to solve some of those complicated trigonometry problems he mastered. Or perhaps you’d like to find out more about the apps he thinks are great. Now, ask your mentee if he’s willing to tutor you—and take your learning seriously. Be sure to give him the respect that any teacher deserves. Your mentee will grow in self-confidence. And you’ll learn something new!
